Are 'selfies' ruining your self-esteem...?

In this 'selfie' obsessed era, It's hard not to get a bit down on yourself, admiring other people looking amazing after been photo-shopped within an inch of their lives, Let's admit it can be a bit daunting (even though it's false)

I think it's great that everyone takes a little bit more pride in their appearance because I do believe if you look good, you feel great :-) and that's why we have fashion and beauty, To play around with Our look, to create a better version of ourselves and to add a bit of personality to our appearance. It's not to cover up who we are or try to be something that we are not..!

But at the same time it's not healthy to be constantly comparing yourself to others and saying they are (insert word here_______) and I am not. You are you and no matter how much photo-shop work you do to yourself online you will still in reality look like, Well, You and is that such a bad thing....?

Which brings me to pop the question, Are 'selfies' ruining your self-esteem..........??

Taking pride in your appearance is one thing, but letting it take over your self-worth is another. Honestly why should you feel bad about yourself just because in your eyes (and I stress that) someone is more (Insert here ______) than you..?

Truth is in your own eyes their is always going to be 101 people better at something than you or have something that you do not, But does it really matter...?

No...as simple as that N.O

Being a young woman with a million and one insecurities I know the feeling, that feeling of no confidence in your ability to do things or looking in the mirror and just being like euuuuuu, As humans we are all like that sometimes, but you have to love every inch of yourself because if you don't who will..? Losing inches off your waist or getting loads of compliments isn't going to improve your self-esteem if you don't realize how great of a person you are through your own eyes, You don't need anyone else's seal of approval or a million hits on your 'selfie' haha :-)

I have learned to love the skin I'm in, To accept that I'll never be near perfect and I'm not going to bother trying either, to not love my cellulite or stretch marks but to say hey it's part of me..!

You are kinda like a deck of cards and life is the game, So I suggest to anyone who's reading this to jump on board with me and just accept and play with the cards your dealt with, to make the most of what you have and most importantly to enjoy the game..
