No, A Man won't love a bitch

What modern day singer springs to mind when you hear the words 'independent woman'......?

Well for majority of us it would be Beyonce, Now as Beyonce was singing 'single ladies' she was clearly not a single lady but all loved up with Jay-Z,

Where does this leave the single ladies huh...?

In the corner of a nightclub trying to do their best 'sexy dance' to attract some 'fine males' (we all know the dance I'm talking about, every nightclub has at least one usually classy lady 'dropping low')

No ladies resist the temptation.....please, desperation is not a sexy scent to be wearing..!

The question is, Do Men really love bitches...?

Em no,  Where did this idea even spring from..? Nobody loves a bitch

Personally Women need to wake up and realise Men are total different creatures to us sophisticated females, Like a dog they need to be trained (sorry guys!) and like a true trainer you set the boundaries, Be a pushover that believes every word and you will be walked over and lied to,

Listen, I'll just say it as it is if you need another person to make you happy, as in you're one of those 'I need a boyfriend' kind of ladies you probably won't ever find a relationship you are truly happy in, How do you expect a relationship to last if you can't hold your own huh..?? A man can and will walk out when he feels like it, Women don't generally tend to do that, So Be happy alone first, Stop desperately looking for something that's not there and forcing things with men that don't really have an interest because honey You will be the one left in tears not him..!

You know them Women on a night out that a man walks over to and she does be ALL over him or even on a first date..? Yep, won't get you anywhere, and not being like that isn't being a bitch it's having some common sense and self respect, You are the one that has to be wooed not them...!

Be a real independent woman, If you don't need a man for anything and can look after yourself well then you have the power, As silly as it sounds it doesn't matter if your on a first date or your out celebrating your 50th Wedding anniversary there's a bit of a game aspect to a relationship and the ball should always be in a Woman's court, As the song goes this is in fact a Man's world (We all know that) but it wouldn't be anything without a Woman..!! So the next time that Guy from last night doesn't call you back remember that..!

A man won't love a bitch yet he will respect an independent woman who doesn't need a man for her to know her own self-worth (Yes You are amazing, without a man) Find someone who treats You right and if not as Queen Bey says 'To the left, to the left'...!!!

Best bits of 2013

I do apologize for not posting too much on the run up to Christmas but my schedule has been hectic and it's really lovely to be back blogging :-) Hope you all had a great Christmas,
Check out Our first little family photo haha very cheesy, But a lovely little photo to have, You don't know when it's going to be your last moment with all your loved ones around, so keep them close

So Here's a little more personal blog (find these are the hardest ones to write!) about my life in 2013.....

Well this has been an amazing year for me, I won't get it all in but here's some of my best bits...!!

Firstly back in February, Love By Debs Blog was born,
I never thought I'd feel so passionate about something like blogging but I really do, It's like my baby..!
I've loved every minute of it, met some great people so far and would like to thank everyone who's been involved, Especially the ones who interact with the page and all those lovely people who I've seen out and about and have given me great feedback about the blog...!

Next year is only going to get bigger and better I promise, I'm bursting with excitement about some news I have (No Mam, I'm not pregnant haha)
Early 2014 will be the launch of my new website.... www.lovebydebs.ie is officially under construction I can't wait to have it up and running, it's lots of work let me tell you..!

After ten months blogging with almost 14,000 readers and a weekly reach of over 70,000 people I can't believe how I've watched love by debs blog grow this much, I was always (and still am a little) nervous about it, What people think or judge me that don't actually know me but as the years gone on I can proudly say I have grown a set of balls :-) and know that there is always people going to think or say certain negative things or as more commonly known, small minded people, and love by debs's positive little bubble doesn't have time for that it won't be everyone's cup of tea but sure if you don't like it don't look,

Another little thought that I'm toying with is a youtube channel for 2014, At the minute i'm iffy at the idea but it's most defiantly in the pipeline....at some stage anyway..I promise I'll stop being a whimp and just bite the bullet..!!

Right so here's a little bit of what I've been up to.....

This year has been a great year for me visiting different places too, I started the year off in London, The ultimate city for cool clubs and fashion inspiration, My favorite place in London has to be Camden with it's anything goes, relaxed attitude towards fashion, although I'm a high-heel kind of girl, I love places with a hippy vibe, It's refreshing to be around people that don't look you up and down when you walk into a pub and are just friendly...!!

Later on in the year a gang of us went to Barcelona for My sisters 30th another amazing city, Well worth a visit, there are some great bars and clubs along the beach with great dj's kinda like an Ibiza chilled vibe without TOO much madness :-)

In September I went on a holiday of a lifetime with my other half and it was just amazing, First We went to Las Vegas, which was everything I expected it to be bright, big and fake..
The Hotel We stayed in the 'Encore' is one of the newer ones on the strip with a younger crowd, the view from Our suite was out of this World, Everything about the trip was great from seeing Avicii Dj at a pool party to shopping it was just great, Ooo and I shot a gun (terrifying experience not lady like at all haha)

After Vegas, We flew down to Cancun in Mexico, My poor mammy was telling everyone at home that she was worried sick about us over there because according to her there is crocodiles randomly strolling the streets of Cancun (You can see why I love her so much, crazy lady haha) One thing you should know is I'm terrified of deep water, while We were over in Cancun We swam with dolphins and went snorkeling, of course I had a very fashionable life jacket on both times but nonetheless I finally faced my fears :-)

Cancun was definitely a piece of paradise and somewhere I hope to visit again soon (look at that view!!)

Now just before Christmas (maybe I did go away a lot this year) I had a quick visit to Amsterdam, Taking in the culture as one does, Seeing Anne Franks house and doing the tour got me all watery eyed (I'm a big emotional mess at times) I had to take a trip to a coffee shop (If it's good enough for Cara Delevingne, It's good enough for me!) all I'll say was it was very interesting..!!

2013 has been very good, All the nights out and little moments and people that made it (electric picnic was one to remember), I have gone to fashion shows and launches, Which is a totally new to me and they have been great experiences also a bit nerve wrecking for a newbie ,You really learn a lot getting out into the big bad World and between blogging, meeting new people and moving into my own place this year, It's been almost like transition year, a big lesson being nobody is perfect and either is life.

It's a hard thing to realize that not everyone that you are there for is going to be there for you but the ones that really matter will be, This year taught me that too, I learned in order to be happy with yourself you must accept your flaws and also to accept that everything works out in the end, now in saying that You can't sit around waiting for things to happen either, Life is like your make-up bag so choose what makes you look and feel good, If the shade of lipstick you've been sporting the past few years doesn't suit you anymore, CHANGE IT, That can be a very daunting thing but trust me change for the better is key to a happy life..!

I tend to not have negative people around me they only bring bad things to your life and for that my life is a happier place anyone who has drama gets told to move along, backbiters, two faced people and my favourite the 'friends' who aren't really your friends at all,

I  have a small group of really good friends that mean the World to me, all totally different in their own little way (it's like a pick n' mix) but just good souls, A family that are crazy and far from perfect but I know no matter what we are all looking out for eachother like a little team and a boyfriend who is also just as crazy as me and far from perfect but very supportive and a little sweetheart when he wants to be someone I just click with, I love all these people to bits because when one of them causes a sad day, the other one lifts me up and that's probably the biggest life lesson and happiest thing that dropped on me this year to fully appreciate the good people in your life :-)

Just to add, In the spirit of new years resolutions jazz, One of the Best pieces of advice I was ever given (surprisingly from my mam who doesn't often give advice) was each year to do at least one thing new for yourself whether it be facing a fear, educating yourself in something new or even seeing a new part of the World, Just do it and then at least every year will count for something :-)

Now I think I've kind of rambled on enough, These blog posts are like a little diary and everything that I write is just me (whether that's a good thing or not I don't know) that's why anyone who reads the blog that I chat to might notice I get a bit embarrassed because it's like reading my diary haha, I may not get overly popular because I like to not sugar coat things but hey, I'd rather one person reading my blogs that are real than a million people reading a blog that was fake :-)

I really want to thank everyone who follows the blog again and I wish you all a very happy and healthy New Year
Here's to 2014 and I won't say please be good, because We're all going to make damn sure it is..!!

Sending all my love and positive vibes,

Love
Debs xXx

White face, Dark body syndrome...! Your questions answered.....

I get so many emails asking various questions everyday, So from now on I'm going to post a Q&A blog every couple of weeks, Basically just the most popular asked questions from you guys, again I always love hearing from Love By Debs readers so mail any questions to lovebydebs@gmail.com and I will try get back to You as soon as possible

So your glancing through a friends pictures online from the night before and you notice you have two-tone skin in all of your lovely snaps (Dark body, White face syndrome)

What do you do...???

Well the most common mistake here is using too much false tan on your body and forgetting about facial application so firstly I would always make sure you match up tan to create an even shade.

Another culprit that causes this is when your foundation comes into bright light it creates a glare on the face which can also show up as your face being paler than your body in pictures, For this I would recommend having two shades of foundation in your make-up bag, one for day and a darker shade for night,

I would definitely not recommend over doing it with the bronzing powder to match it up, But do dust bronzing powder lightly to all the areas the sun naturally shines (forehead, nose, chin and cheeks) to create a nice healthy glow.

Hollywood hair

I must admit there is something about having big hair, It literally puts a spring in your step adds a dash of sexy and makes you feel you can almost take on anything...!!!

Here is a step by step guide on how to achieve them Hollywood style waves that grace every red carpet event around,

Step 1)

To prep, I blast dried Karen's hair with the hair dryer and sprayed some of label M. volume mousse (Available at Toni and Guy salons) to create texture, which is a must for lasting volume

Step 2) Taking sections, I loosely curled Karen's hair using a medium sized wand.

Step 3) Lightly brushing out the curls, I then used grips to set the hair and added some hairspray for hold

Are 'selfies' ruining your self-esteem...?

In this 'selfie' obsessed era, It's hard not to get a bit down on yourself, admiring other people looking amazing after been photo-shopped within an inch of their lives, Let's admit it can be a bit daunting (even though it's false)

I think it's great that everyone takes a little bit more pride in their appearance because I do believe if you look good, you feel great :-) and that's why we have fashion and beauty, To play around with Our look, to create a better version of ourselves and to add a bit of personality to our appearance. It's not to cover up who we are or try to be something that we are not..!

But at the same time it's not healthy to be constantly comparing yourself to others and saying they are (insert word here_______) and I am not. You are you and no matter how much photo-shop work you do to yourself online you will still in reality look like, Well, You and is that such a bad thing....?

Which brings me to pop the question, Are 'selfies' ruining your self-esteem..........??

Taking pride in your appearance is one thing, but letting it take over your self-worth is another. Honestly why should you feel bad about yourself just because in your eyes (and I stress that) someone is more (Insert here ______) than you..?

Truth is in your own eyes their is always going to be 101 people better at something than you or have something that you do not, But does it really matter...?

No...as simple as that N.O

Being a young woman with a million and one insecurities I know the feeling, that feeling of no confidence in your ability to do things or looking in the mirror and just being like euuuuuu, As humans we are all like that sometimes, but you have to love every inch of yourself because if you don't who will..? Losing inches off your waist or getting loads of compliments isn't going to improve your self-esteem if you don't realize how great of a person you are through your own eyes, You don't need anyone else's seal of approval or a million hits on your 'selfie' haha :-)

I have learned to love the skin I'm in, To accept that I'll never be near perfect and I'm not going to bother trying either, to not love my cellulite or stretch marks but to say hey it's part of me..!

You are kinda like a deck of cards and life is the game, So I suggest to anyone who's reading this to jump on board with me and just accept and play with the cards your dealt with, to make the most of what you have and most importantly to enjoy the game..

BLEACH LONDON- Fashion forward hair

Last week I had an absolute hair disaster, Turning my blonde hair extensions grey as a result of leaving a toner on too long (note to self don't get into an in depth conversation when you have a cocktail of chemicals on your head)

So looking for a decent cleansing shampoo (brilliant may I add) browsing the aisles of boots, I stumble across this new funky hair product brand, BLEACH LONDON established in East London 2011 they are popular for their unique techniques (adding eye shadow to hair colour to make a rinse for blondes is impressive) and with clients such as Rihanna and Florence Welsh, These guys as trendsetters are definitely one to watch.

Some of their products include a rainbow of funky rinses and dip-dye kits, Definitely worth the experiment for any brave fashion forward Ladies and Gents out there..!!

Available from Boots www.boots.ie / www.boots.com

Here is some of their work (facebook.com/bleachlondon)

Happy experimenting..!

Happily ever after....?

Love Songs...... What is it about them..? A few deep words that hit the heart, A collection of musical instruments that let the mind wander into a whirlwind of either....
1) The one you have loved
2) The one you have lost
or even the one you're yet to find

Us Women are absolute suckers for a good love song (Insert your own personal favorite here)
Why...?
We secretly all want the 'one', Deep down We are hopeless romantics, As much as it kills me to admit with My own Boyfriends nickname for me being 'ice queen', The story of The Prince and Princesses 'happily ever after' is one that We kiiiiinda all secretly long for, But then again that's a fairy tale isn't it and We all know fairy tales don't work in real life...

Put your hands up who's been hurt in a relationship...? Exactly, The lot of us whether it's through a partners vice, lack of interest in You or the general faults that some carry, just something that fizzles out or maybe You have done something to a partner You regret, The direction I'm going here is that we have all experienced some form or hurt of the heart right...?

Does that mean are dreams are crushed of the happily ever after...?

No Princess, Keep that crown firmly on your head there..!! We all want the 'prince' in our life but let's be honest have you seen the Men out there...?

Maybe there isn't such thing as a happily ever after, that movie whisk you off your feet kinda love,
But there is all them little things in a Woman's life, An exchange of smiles with that gorgeous stranger in the shops, A text that has you grinning like your high , making up after an argument, the date that goes really well, a thoughtful gesture or maybe just a simple hug or kiss, that little tingling feeling you get, or the fun in kissing the frogs whilst getting back into the dating game, I could go on but I'd only lose my ice queen rep..!

Girls what I'm saying is maybe there isn't a happily ever after for us out there but what about the happy in the now..! The same way no person is perfect, either is any relationship but who says it has to be perfect, Perfect is boring anyway, Just make sure the half frog- half prince partner you have or the one around the corner treats You right...You are a princess after all..!
